Whoa what happened here???
I’ve been planning on tearing cfa down for a few months now, but a ton of things have been happening that to my dismay, had caused me to push the site aside for a bit. But what better day to start the deconstruction/ reconstruction than today?
The Shift
For the last few months I have shifted my business focus over to my other site aenonfiredesign. The site is going well and business is building, and I found myself wondering what to do with clint fisher art. A big part, probably the greatest part of cFA that I have enjoyed is my photography. I purposefully left photography off of aenonfiredesign because I intended on keeping it exclusively for cFA. Thinking this over for a while I decided that it would be a good move to drop everything from this site except for the news area, and the photography. The news section is really open for exploration. I’m still thinking of maybe a better name for the news area as I’m not completely sold on “news”. I will still continue to do “Features” and Swoon will have her permanent home here.
Naked
Everything you see here is in progress. I absolutely had to take down the old site, as it didnt represent the direction I wanted to go, or for that matter had I not done something quick, I dare not think of the further neglect my beloved site would have had to endure. I’m experimenting with a bevy of different photo gallery apps and have found a couple that I think will work out nicely, those also when you see them pop up are in progress.
Why Live?
There are a few reasons I chose to redesign cFA live. The first one is that I’m a bit crazy, and have been known to habitually work off of my live server files. ~Watches Todd shake his head reading this. The second reason is that it gives me motivation to stay on it, I have a good amount of other things to work on right now, but this being live keeps me on my toes. Lastly, the live redesign lets you in on the process. I’ve always been a heavy “process” intensive artist. I love process, and love seeing how things come together, where they came from and what choices were made along the way. Hopefully it will be a good learning experience, and I welcome comments and criticism along the way, although I may not like your opinion and ignore it ;)

Quite sexy in a clean way. The big stuff really works, and so do the colours.

Very nice man, I am really liking the cleaner layout, but I gotta say I wish you would choose something other than pink, since that is the “hot” colour at the moment.
But having said that, it works.

OOOh la la! I dont know about the pink and the magenta. My first thought was how much colors like pink really emphasize all of the colors on my screen - from the desktop on either side, to the browser colors. If you are going to go with this much space, and this loud of color, i would push it like cy twombly would.

Man, forget what everyone else says — I love the pink.
Well, it looks great so far. I love the big type (yeah, big suprise, huh). Big type and lots of space — I love it. Also love the idea of a live redesign. Very cool, unique idea.

Alright! It’s about time! Okay - Okay … much more than that can be said about me and my pathetic site (but, I too… have some changes as well)
And Clint, yes… I am shaking my head… have you not learned anything!!!! Work from copies - not originals! 8-p
What to say about this incarnation of cFA? I like it… it is very similar in ways to your design site. I like it… the canvas is set to unveil some photography (you do still have a camera, right?)
Lookin’ forward to the build out….
